Question:
Where can I get more information on ISO 9001?
Answer:
The following websites have some good information:
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
Wikipedia
9001 Council
Question:
Where can I get the actual ISO 9001 standard?
Answer:
You can purchase a hardcopy or a downloadable PDF copy of the ISO 9001 standard directly from ANSI. Please remember to choose the correct version (ISO 9001:2015 Quality management systems - Requirements) as there is an entire series of ISO 9000 standards. The other standards in the ISO 9000 standards series do not contain requirements and are not used for certification.
Question:
Where can I find good ISO 9001 training?
Answer:
There are many consultants and training companies who offer local ISO 9001 training classes. However, there are also easier and more cost-effective training methods: video presentations and web-based e-learning. 9001Courses.com offers a good selection of excellent ISO 9001 e-learning and DVD courses.
Question:
I often hear people refer to “ISO 9000”. Is ISO 9000 the same as ISO 9001?
Answer:
Yes and no. The ISO 9001 standard is the most important standard of the ISO 9000 series of standards. It is the only standard in the ISO 9000 series that is used for certification. The other standards in the ISO 9000 series are little known and infrequently used. Up until the year 2000, however, there were two other important standards included in the ISO 9000 series against which one could achieve certification: ISO 9002 and ISO 9003. Since ISO 9001, ISO 9002 and ISO 9003 were quite similar, it became common to refer to any of them simply as “ISO 9000”. Nowadays, there are still people who say “ISO 9000” when, in fact, they mean ISO 9001.

The All-In-One Easy 9001 Toolkit™ is a complete ISO 9001 kit that includes everything necessary for ISO 9001 implementation except the actual ISO 9001 standard. We assume that you already own a copy of the ISO 9001 standard; if not, we encourage you to purchase the actual ISO 9001 standard directly from ANSI. When making a purchase, remember to choose the correct version (ISO 9001:2015 Quality management systems - Requirements) as there are also other standards in the ISO 9000 series (the other standards in the ISO 9000 standards series do not contain requirements and are not designed for certification).
Question:
Why don't you include the ISO 9001 standard?
Answer:
The All-In-One Easy 9001 Toolkit™ doesn't contain the actual ISO 9001 standard for copyright reasons. The ISO 9001 standard is published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), which tightly controls the distribution of both hardcopy and download/PDF versions of the ISO 9001 standard.
