Questions and Answers

Question:

I am completely new to ISO 9001. Is your All-In-One Easy 9001 Toolkit™ right for me?

Answer:

Yes, it is an ideal choice for beginners. The All-In-One Easy 9001 Toolkit™ is designed to help you get started (see the Easy Steps to ISO 9001). In addition, everything in the All-In-One Easy 9001 Toolkit™ is carefully explained so that you don't need any prior knowledge of ISO 9001.

Question:

You say that everything necessary is included. How about if I want to get extra help? What are your tips for optional add-ons?

Answer:

We don't sell any optional add-ons. However, you may want to consider an intensive course that teaches you all ISO 9001 requirements (for example, 9001Courses.com). If you don't have the actual ISO 9001 standard yet, you can download a PDF version from ANSI. Be sure to choose the correct version (ISO 9001:2015 Quality management systems - Requirements).

Does the All-In-One Easy 9001 Toolkit™ apply to my country?

Answer:

Yes, the All-In-One Easy 9001 Toolkit™ is valid for any country. The ISO 9001 standard is an international standard that virtually every country in the world has adopted, and businesses and consumers worldwide are increasingly aware of ISO 9001 and require their vendors to be ISO 9001 certified.

Question:

Answer:

The following websites have some good information:
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
Wikipedia
9001Council.org

Question:

If I buy the All-In-One Easy 9001 Toolkit™, what other documents will I need to buy before I can get certified?

Answer:

The All-In-One Easy 9001 Toolkit™ is a complete ISO 9001 kit that includes everything necessary for ISO 9001 implementation except the actual ISO 9001 standard. We assume that you already own a copy of the ISO 9001 standard; if not, we encourage you to purchase the actual ISO 9001 standard directly from ANSI. When making a purchase, remember to choose the correct version (ISO 9001:2015 Quality management systems - Requirements) as there are also other standards in the ISO 9000 series (the other standards in the ISO 9000 standards series do not contain requirements and are not designed for certification).

Question:

Why don't you include the ISO 9001 standard?

Answer:

The All-In-One Easy 9001 Toolkit™ doesn't contain the actual ISO 9001 standard for copyright reasons. The ISO 9001 standard is published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), which tightly controls the distribution of both hardcopy and download/PDF versions of the ISO 9001 standard.

Question:

Where can I get the actual ISO 9001 standard?

Answer:

You can purchase a hardcopy or a downloadable PDF copy of the ISO 9001 standard directly from ANSI. Please remember to choose the correct version (ISO 9001:2015 Quality management systems - Requirements) as there is an entire series of ISO 9000 standards. The other standards in the ISO 9000 standards series do not contain requirements and are not used for certification.

Question:

Can I purchase individual items of your All-In-One Easy 9001 Toolkit™?

Answer:

No. Our All-In-One Easy 9001 Toolkit™ is a fully integrated and complete ISO 9001 package with all the items necessary to easily implement ISO 9001. All items complement each other, thus making the All-In-One Easy 9001 Toolkit™ so valuable as a kit. If we provided you with anything less than the full All-In-One Easy 9001 Toolkit™, you would not be able to reap the benefits of our innovative approach.

Question:

Where can I find good ISO 9001 training?

Answer:

There are many consultants and training companies who offer local ISO 9001 training classes. However, there are also easier and more cost-effective training methods: video presentations and web-based e-learning. 9001Courses.com offers a good selection of excellent ISO 9001 e-learning and DVD courses.

Question:

Can you recommend an ISO 9001 registrar who is familiar with your ISO 9001 templates and toolkit?

Answer:

There are many registrars that are familiar with our ISO 9001 certification materials, however, we are particularly fond of PRI Registrar because of their excellent and fast customer service, low prices and availability of qualified auditors throughout the USA and other countries.

Question:

I often hear people refer to “ISO 9000”. Is ISO 9000 the same as ISO 9001?

Answer:

Yes and no. The ISO 9001 standard is the most important standard of the ISO 9000 series of standards. It is the only standard in the ISO 9000 series that is used for certification. The other standards in the ISO 9000 series are little known and infrequently used. Up until the year 2000, however, there were two other important standards included in the ISO 9000 series against which one could achieve certification: ISO 9002 and ISO 9003. Since ISO 9001, ISO 9002 and ISO 9003 were quite similar, it became common to refer to any of them simply as “ISO 9000”. Nowadays, there are still people who say “ISO 9000” when, in fact, they mean ISO 9001.
